Suravaram Pratapa Reddy (1896–1953)
Suravaram Pratapa Reddy was a pioneering Telugu writer, historian, and social reformer from the Nizam-era Hyderabad. Known as Andhra Sarvaswamu (Encyclopedia of Andhra), he is one of the most important cultural figures of 20th-century Telugu literature.
Contributions
He founded Golconda magazine in 1918, which became a platform for cultural and political discussion in Nizam Hyderabad. He wrote extensively on Telugu history, culture, and society — producing encyclopedic works on Telugu castes, customs, and literature.

Awards & Recognition
Suravaram Pratapa Reddy received the Andhra Sahitya Parishad Puraskaram. The Suravaram Pratapa Reddy Peetam (chair in Telangana literature) at Osmania University is named after him.
