Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak
The Telangana government provides marriage assistance to economically weaker sections:
- Kalyana Lakshmi: For SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), BC (Backward Class), and disabled women
- Shaadi Mubarak: For Muslim women (minority welfare)
Both schemes provide a one-time financial grant to the bride's family at the time of marriage.
Eligibility (General)
- Bride must be a Telangana resident (minimum 10-year domicile)
- Bride's age must meet the legal minimum (18 years)
- Annual family income must be below the notified threshold
- Wedding must be legally registered
Grant Amount
The grant amount has been revised multiple times. Current amounts must be verified at official portals — government announces updates through welfare department press releases.
How to Apply
- Apply online or at the District Social Welfare Office / Minority Welfare Office
- Submit: Aadhaar cards of bride and parents, income certificate, caste certificate (Kalyana Lakshmi), marriage certificate, bank passbook
- Applications verified by MPDO / BDO
