Aasara Pension Scheme

Aasara (ఆసరా — "support") is Telangana's flagship social security pension scheme providing monthly financial assistance to vulnerable groups.

Who is Eligible

Aasara pension covers:

  • Old Age (men/women above age threshold)
  • Widow / Unmarried women above age threshold
  • Weavers (Handloom)
  • Toddy Tappers (Goud community)
  • Persons with Disabilities (40%+ disability)
  • HIV positive persons
  • Single women
  • Fishermen
  • ASHA / Anganwadi workers (specific conditions)

Exclusion Criteria

Income and property ownership criteria apply. Government employees, income tax payers, and those above specified asset thresholds are excluded.

How to Apply

  1. Visit your local Ward Secretariat or Revenue Office
  2. Submit application with Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and supporting documents
  3. Applications are processed through the Samagra Kutumbam survey
